Biography

George Eastman began mass producing dry plates for photography in 1878 under his own name. In 1888 he  named his new film camera "Kodak" and made photography accessible to everyone. Kodak film and cameras dominated the photography market for many decades. Although with the advent of digital photography the company encountered difficulties, it continues to operate.
