This model sledge has great detail. A leather pouch hangs from the uprights at the back, holding a miniature soapstone cooking pot. The pieces are all lashed together with sealskin thongs. This gives the sledge flexibility even in frigid temperatures so it does not break on rough terrain or sea ice.
