These sealskin boots were made in Labrador, probably by a "Settler" woman. Capt. Robert A. Bartlett's father William Bartlett purchased many pairs on behalf of Robert E. Peary for the 1908-09 North Pole Expedition. Donald MacMillan wore this pair.
